OBAMACARE: BEFORE AND AFTER

This is a letter sent to a friend of mine in 2011.  They declined to insure her for being overweight (!!). AFTER Obamacare was passed, the same insurance company –ironic, no?—was required to cover this person for much less money than she would have paid in 2011.  And still, the Republicans go on about “socialized medicine” and are threatening to undo even the little amount of progress Americans have made.

Notice how they tell her that NO company will insure her if she has a “serious” medical condition.  Here is the (now unbelievable) sentence:

"If you have a more serious condition, such as cancer or multiple sclerosis, it is unlikely that you will be able to obtain health insurance coverage.”
